Naro-Minded presents DO THE RIGHT THING
Set in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, DO THE RIGHT THING chronicles the events that lead up to a race riot between the residents. On the hottest day of the year, Buggin’ Out (Giancarlo Esposito) becomes upset when he sees that Sal’s (Danny Aiello) pizzeria’s Wall of Fame exhibits only Italian actors. He believes a pizzeria in a black neighborhood should showcase black actors, but Sal disagrees. As the story unfolds and the temperature rises, the wall becomes a symbol of racism and hate. Sal is pushed to the breaking point and makes a fateful decision that explodes into violence. (1989, R, 120mins)
